Alberta firefighters competed at the 54th Annual SVVFA Convention & Competition in Brodnax, Virginia on September 19, 2009. The department won 2nd place in the Six-Man Hose Contest and 1st place in the Pumper-Tanker Municipal category. They also placed in the top five in a few other firematic contests.

Alberta Volunteer Fire Department provides full service fire, rescue, and EMS transport services. We are currently taking applications for our four (4) categories of volunteer membership - Fire, EMS, EMS Associate and Support. Contact us to find out what category is right for you! We invite you to experience the excitement of responding to many types of emergency calls and gain quality training for free! We are currently accepting employment applications for paid part-time ALS (EMT-I or EMT-P) provider positions! Our paid EMS provider positions work on rotating 12 hour shifts from 6 am - 6 pm, Monday through Friday.
